Football Club

Football club is on a Tuesday afternoon at 3:30-4:30pm ran by Mr Greenwood.

Not only do the children cover skills like teamwork and communication, but they also have tons of fun doing it!

We follow the Premier League Primary Stars football program which uses the inspiration of sport to connect pupils’ learning to the world around them. Each week at the end of the session, one child is chosen as the "man or women of the match" for demonstrating the skills that we have looked at that week.

We hope that one day you will see SJSM FC vs Liverpool FC on the television!! (Although SJSM FC will definitely win wink)

This weeks Premier League Primary Stars Home Challenge

Complete The Speech Challenge

We have teamed up with the National Literacy Trust and football author Tom Palmer to bring you the Complete the speech challenge.

We want you to create your own version of the Roy of the Rovers story by completing the blank speech bubbles on the comic strip provided. There are two options for you to choose from, Roy's football match or his sister's, Rocky. (You can read more about these in the challenge PDF).

Take part in the weekly challenge and head to the National Literacy Trust Family Zone to download a copy of Tom's top tips for completing your comic strip!

Once you've taken part in the challenge, don't forget to share your comic strip for a chance to win a special prize for your school! Email or tweet @PLCommunities and @Literacy_Trust using #PLPrimaryStars.
